PROGRAMMING STUDENT or MASTER’S THESIS WORKER

 

We are seeking a programming student for a part-time job (student) or a full-time job (master’s thesis worker) in Aalto University (Finland) REMOS TUTL commercialization project. The project continues until 31.12.2020 and it commercializes the inventions made during the ORMID research project. The inventions allow the real-time measurement of stress in mines and in rock spaces. The work entails close working with measurement instruments, ICs/microcomputers, data post-processing and visualization of information. The required skill level of the work is suitable for students and the work assignments can be tailored to suite the profile of the applicant. The project currently has a team with a commercialization expert, two DSc (tech.), one MSc (tech.) and an artistic designer. Should the project be successful, a startup company may be established as a result.

 

The work can begin immediately or later as agreed. The salary follows the Aalto University School of Engineering salary recommendation. These factors can be considered as an advantage: Python or C programming skills, prior experience with ICs (e.g. Arduino) or microcomputers (e.g. Raspberry Pi), programming studies, programming work experience. UNITY VR DEVELOPER STUDENT

 

We are seeking a programming student for a part-time job in Aalto University (Finland) COVE education development project, which is part of the A!OLE Aalto Online Learning Programme. The project continues until 31.12.2020 and it aims to further develop MIEDU and EDUROCK VR learning systems for geology, rock engineering, and mining education. The work entails close working with Unity, VR, digital assets and gamification. The required skill level of the work is suitable for students and the work assignments can be tailored to sui t the profile of the applicant.

 

The work can begin immediately or later as agreed. The salary follows the Aalto University School of Engineering salary recommendation. In your application, include a one page application letter, CV and study records. These factors can be considered as an advantage: Unity and C# programming skills, prior experience with Virtual Reality development, UX, digital assets, and gamification.
